Law requirements
Directive 2004/108/EC states that all products or mobile/fixed system containing electric and electronic parts, before they enter the market or start functioning, need to be verified with instrumental tests or theoretical analysis and only when compliant with certain parameters they may be marked EC and commercialized in Europe.
Obligation addressees
Essentially manufacturers and importers of new products as machines, domestic appliances, electric devices, importers of second-hand products with no EC mark, as well as manufacturers of machineries for indoor use.
